Thunder, Lightning and Rain

What incredible display of nature's fireworks Friday night out in New Ulm! I have never seen lightning and thunder come from every direction for hours on end. More beautiful and awe-inspiring than anything made by man. And the bonus for us is that it actually rained! I told folks back in Houston that if it rained this weekend I would go out and dance in it, but considering all of the lightning I decided my safety was more important than meeting that commitment. Nonetheless we did have about 2 inches of desparately needed rain to help remedy the worst drought in memory for many locals. Certainly the worst in the nineteen years that we have owned the farm. And miraculously I awakened this morning and the fields and pastures are already greening up...their way of giving thanks for the drenching recieved the other night.
